(BENTON, Ky.)-The Benton Woman’s Club has announced plans to participate in the national Wreaths Across America initiative, hosting a ceremony in Marshall County this December.
The event will take place on December 13, 2025, at 9:00 a.m., beginning with a small ceremony at Mike Miller Park Veteran’s Honor Plaza. Following the opening ceremony, volunteers will lay wreaths across Marshall County to honor American heroes.
Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit organization that coordinates wreath-laying ceremonies at cemeteries and memorial locations throughout the United States. The annual tradition, held each December, aims to remember fallen veterans, honor those who serve, and teach younger generations the value of freedom.
The Benton Woman’s Club is inviting community members to join them in this tribute to local veterans and military members. Those interested in participating can contact the organization for more information about volunteering or sponsoring wreaths.
The ceremony is part of a coordinated nationwide effort, with similar events taking place at Arlington National Cemetery and thousands of other locations across the country on the same day.
