
(NASSAU, Bahamas_ – The Murray State Racers delivered a commanding performance Tuesday, crushing Raw Talent Elite 120-59 in the middle game of the Bahamas Summer League at the Baha Mar Resort Convention Center.
The Racers showcased their offensive depth with seven players reaching double figures in scoring. Leading the balanced attack were Javon Jackson and Fred King, who each contributed 16 points. Mathis Courbon followed closely with 14 points, while Lachlan Crate, Ben Shtolzberg, and KJ Tenner each chipped in 12 points. Brayden Shorter rounded out the double-digit scorers with 11 points.
Murray State established control early, building a commanding 64-29 halftime lead before extending their dominance in the second half, outscoring Raw Talent Elite 56-30 over the final 20 minutes.
The Racers demonstrated exceptional ball movement and shooting efficiency throughout the contest. Murray State shot 82% compared to Raw Talent Elite’s 63% and showcased unselfish play by assisting on 28 of their 41 field goals.
Murray State’s aggressive offensive approach led to numerous trips to the free-throw line, where they capitalized on their opportunities. The Racers attempted 30 free throws and converted an impressive 26, highlighted by perfect shooting performances from Jackson (8-8), Traynor and Crate (4-4 each), and Brock Vice (2-2).
The victory marks Murray State’s second game in the Bahamas Summer League as the team continues to prepare for the upcoming season with strong team chemistry and balanced scoring on full display.
