(Hardin, Ky.) — The Marshall County Public Library is proud to announce the grand reopening of its Hardin Branch, now reimagined as a vibrant Family Destination Library designed to welcome families with young children into a safe, free, and enriching learning environment.
Closed throughout the week for final preparations, the newly renovated space was unveiled this morning with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce, representatives from Marshall County Schools, and excited families from across the region. The redesigned branch features bright colors, cozy and family-friendly furniture, and a wide variety of imaginative play toys and activities geared toward early learners.
“This renovation has been in the works for nearly a year,” said Tammy Blackwell, Director of the Marshall County Public Library. “It is so exciting to see months of planning and hard work come together today in this amazing space. I am excited to see children in the space, playing and smiling. It’s everything we dreamed it could be.”
The transformation of the Hardin Branch was made possible through a generous grant from New Allies, an organization committed to supporting innovative community projects. With their support, the library has created a welcoming hub where learning and play go hand in hand, making it easier than ever for families to spend meaningful time together while fostering a love of books and discovery.
The updated Hardin Branch is now open to the public, and the community is invited to stop by, explore the new space, and take part in upcoming programs designed especially for young families.
