(PADUCAH, Ky.)– The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) is planning rolling roadblocks on two sections of Interstate 24 in Marshall and Livingston counties on Sunday, July 27, as part of a project to retire a 161-kV overhead transmission line.

Work is scheduled to take place between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. near mile points 27.8 and 29.7. This is between I-24 Exit 27 (US 62/Kentucky Dam) at Calvert City and I-24 Exit 31 (KY 453) at Grand Rivers.

During this time, TVA crews will remove existing overhead wires at both locations.

To safely complete the work, traffic will be slowed for about 15 minutes at each site, and possibly twice per location, as old lines are removed.

Motorists are advised to watch for signage, crews and equipment, and be prepared for short delays.
