(BENTON, Ky.) — A boating accident near Jonathan Creek on Kentucky Lake Wednesday afternoon has left one person dead and another injured.
Marshall County Coroner Kenny Pratt confirmed that Mary Reese, of Herrin, Illinois, died as a result of the collision. According to Pratt, one boat failed to spot the other in time and struck it from above.
Reese’s husband, Thomas Reese, sustained injuries in the crash and is currently receiving treatment at Marshall County Hospital. His condition had not been released.
An autopsy for Mary Reese is scheduled to take place Thursday in Louisville. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
