John Prentice Travis, 84 of Benton, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025 at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.
John was born in Marshall County on April 11, 1941 to the late John Travis and the late Lava Thorn Travis. He worked as a laborer for Swift Roofing.
He is survived by two daughters, Tina Glisson (Jack) of Benton and Lesia Williams (Bobby) of Murray; one brother, Gerald Travis of Paducah; one sister, Sue Beard of Hardin; three grandchildren, Keisha Treas (James), Jimmy Glisson (Jessie) and Chad Pritchett (Serena Brittain); and three great grandchildren, Illyana Glisson, Elim Pritchett, and Evan Pritchett.
John was preceded in death his parents, John and Lava Travis; and three brothers, Harold “Bine” Travis, Bobby Travis, and Ozene Travis.
There will be no funeral services at this time.
