He attended Chief Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran having served during Vietnam.
Mr. Benavides is survived by his wife of 11 years, Lori McAlpin Benavides; one son, Brian (Lori S.) Benavides of Bakersfield, CA; one daughter, Monique Benavides of California; two grandsons, Brandon (Yanhira) Benavides and Alec Benavides; one granddaughter, Aubree Benavides; one great granddaughter, Nevaeh Benavides; and three sisters-in-law, Brenda Reed, Donna McAlpin Lee and Jnanda (Brent) Hargrove all of Mayfield, KY.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister, one brother, Jeffery Benavides; and his parents, Manuel and Lenor Garza Benavides.
Funeral services for Mr. Victor Manuel Benavides will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Keith Allred will officiate. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #26.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
