Jon Wallace, 78, of Boaz, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at his home.
Jon was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on March 16, 1947, to the late James Edgar Wallace and Wilton Yvonne Wallace. Jon’s life was a testament to hard work, dedication, and love for his family.
After moving to Kentucky, Jon spent many years working for the Carpenters’ Local Union #357, which allowed him to grow and perfect his skills as a carpenter. Eventually, this led to him establishing his own construction company, Jon Wallace Construction, from which he retired after years of service, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship and integrity. Jon was a man of many interests whose love for horses was more than a hobby; it was a passion. As a member of the United Professional Horsemen, Jon became a Champion Equestrian, dedicating many years to riding and training American Saddlebred Horses. Jon also enjoyed spending time on the simpler pleasures in life, tending to his vegetable garden, and canning, which he generously shared with friends and family, especially his famous pickles, which were everyone’s favorite.
More than anything else, Jon’s love and commitment to his family was evident in everything that he did. His presence as a husband, father, and grandfather left a mark on the hearts of his family, who found in him an endless source of love, support, and guidance.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan Wallace; one daughter, Kristi Gray (Todd) of Benton; two granddaughters, Kalee Andersson (Dalton) of Benton and Kirsten Farmer (Adam) of Melber; and three great-grandchildren, London Farmer, Harper Farmer, and Nova Farmer.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Richerson; his brother, Jim Wallace; and his parents, James Edgar Wallace and Wilton Yvonne Wallace.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Marshall County Humane Society, 6301 US HWY 68 E, Benton, KY 42025.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
