Mary J. Haugen was a beloved teacher and supporter of the arts. She acted as director of the Mayfield-Graves County Art Guild from 1990 to 1999. She later served as a circuit rider for the Kentucky Arts Council, helping other arts groups across Western Kentucky achieve their dreams.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ron Haugen; one brother, Pete Jackson; one daughter, Kristin Haugen; and one grandson, Joshua Knapper.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon Jackson and Adelyn Rose Jackson; her brother Paul Jackson; her sister, Martha Stocker; her daughter, Kathleen Haugen Knapper; and her grandson, Joshua Knapper.
Her family has decided not to have a service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mary’s honor to the Mayfield-Graves County Art Guild at 825 Paris Road, Mayfield, Kentucky 42066.
