Jimmie C. Cash, age 85, of Gilbertsville, KY, passed away May 14, 2025 at his home surrounded by family. He served as a dedicated deacon and was the longest living member of Gilbertsville First Baptist Church. He retired from the maintenance department at B.F. Goodrich and was a member of the local 184 Plumbers and Steamfitters. He shared 65 years of marriage with his wife, Janice Tyree Cash.
Jimmie’s legacy lives on through his children, Jana (Jack) Kee, Julie (Steve) Fletcher, Jimila (Michael) Fulks, Ruthie (Greg) Bone all of Gibertsville, KY; six grandchildren, Josh (Leslie) Kee of Benton, KY, Janessa (Joseph) Simmons of Calvert City, KY, Matt (Elyssa) Fletcher, Travis (Paige) Fletcher, Whitney (Logan) Taylor and Brittney Bone all of Gilbertsville, KY; he was also blessed with eleven great-grandchildren, Jacy, Jayden and Jett Kee, Jaylee, Jovie and Jordan Simmons, Elijah, Jake and Ada Fletcher, Rhett and Ridley Taylor, Isabella Ledgerwood; niece, Kimberly Bloodworth of Smithland, KY.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, James Elvis and Juanita Banks Cash; sister, Janice Cash Lummus.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 19, 2025 at Calvert City Cemetery with Rev. Jack Kee officiating. Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner and Orr is in charge of arrangements.
