He was a member and former elder of Northside Church of Christ for 31 years and a retired employee of Ingersoll-Rand.
Mr. Canter is survived by his wife, Wanda Wyatt Canter; two daughters, Kim (Stacy) Brewer of Boaz, KY and Julie (Mark) Haley of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Jimmy Canter of Mayfield, KY; and two granddaughters, Carly Brewer of Boaz, KY and Emma Kate Haley and fiancé, Landen Puckett of Hickory, KY.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Canter; three sisters, Jayne White, Patricia Hiland and Peggy Beasley; and his parents, Frank E. and Mary Ruth Shankle Canter.
Funeral services for Mr. Donald D. Canter will be 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Chris Kemp and Tyler Wunderlich will officiate. Interment will follow at Spring Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
