Charles Richard Rudolph, known affectionately as Charlie to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, at the age of 88 in Brentwood, Tennessee. Born in Paducah, KY on November 6, 1936 to Mary Elizabeth Block Rudolph and Charles Robert Rudolph, Charlie lived a life characterized by a warm, friendly demeanor that touched all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A proud graduate of Paducah’s Augusta Tilghman High School, Class of 1954, Charlie continued his education at Paducah Junior College, setting the foundation for a successful career in business and computer operations. He was the respected owner of Multi-Products Company, where his leadership and entrepreneurial spirit were evident. Prior to that, Charlie served as the Vice President of Operations for Computer Services, Inc.

Charlie’s dedication to his work was matched by his commitment to his community, as he was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church, contributing to the congregation with his steadfast faith and supportive presence. Whether he was planning a 1954 PTHS reunion, or an alumni gathering at BBQ On The River, Charlie was the organizer of all things social. It was in these moments of connection and relationship that he found his greatest joy.

Charlie was a family man at heart, cherishing the time spent with his loved ones. He is survived by his two daughters, Tamara Elizabeth King of Nashville, Tennessee, and Kristin Anne Muhlner of Washington, D.C., who remember his generous spirit and constant devotion. His legacy continues through his three grandchildren, Carson Brandt King (Amanda), Zoe Elizabeth Muhlner, and Eve Eleanor Muhlner,  and one great-grandchild, Hudson Benjamin King.  Each will carry forward the values of kindness and integrity that Charlie instilled in them.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Walker Rudolph to whom he was married for 56 years. His parents, and his sister, Sue Rudolph Newman also preceded him in death.

Throughout his life, Charlie was always ready with an encouraging word. His friendly nature made him a beloved figure in his community, where he formed lasting friendships and made a positive impact on countless lives. Charlie’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his memory will live on through the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love he gave so freely. He will be remembered not only for his business successes but also for the remarkable person he was: kind, generous, and always ready with a smile.

A Memorial Service in honor of Charles Rudolph will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Reverend Katie McKown officiating and a private internment to follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m.
