Mrs. Eugenia Faye Childress Parrish, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky passed away, Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Brookdale Belle Meade Memory Care Facility in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mrs. Parrish was born in Henry Co., Tennessee on May 18, 1943, to the late Eugene D. Hutchens and Mary Kathryn Hutchens Garrison Burkett. Mrs. Parrish retired from Woodmen of the World, and she was a member of the Palestine Community Church.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her first husband, William Edgar Childress; her second husband, Robert E. Parrish; and her stepfather, Jim Henry Garrison.
Mrs. Parrish is survived by one daughter, Jill Mendoza, and her husband Dr. Daniel Mendoza of Nashville, Tennessee; two sons, Ron Childress and wife Amanda Childress of Fayetteville, Georgia and Shan Childress and wife Elen Childress of Princeton, Indiana; two sisters, Carolyn Wilson of Hazel, Kentucky and Marilyn Starks and husband Glen Starks of Almo, Kentucky; one brother, Paul Wayne Garrison and wife Shirley Garrison of Murray, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Ashley Turner and husband Josh Turner, Will Childress and wife Maddie Childress, Dr. Gabriel Mendoza, Noah Mendoza, Sophia Mendoza, Nathan Childress, and Nash Childress; as well as one great grandchild, Eli Turner.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Mickey Garrison will officiate, and burial will follow in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
