Anthony E. “Tony” Martin, 80, of Paducah passed away at 9:28 AM on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Baptist Health in Paducah.
Mr. Martin was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Atofina Chemicals, longtime Softball and Basketball Coach in Reidland for Khoury League. He was a member of Reidland Baptist Church. He loved his truck, 1999 Ford Lightning.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sandy Martin of Paducah; two daughters, Michelle Martin of Paducah, Jennifer (Art) Gillespie of Sunnyvale, CA; four grandchildren, Emma Mitchell, Jake Mitchell, Friday Gillespie, Finn Gillispie; three nieces, Christina, Debbie, Shauna; seven nephews, Allen, Ron, Greg, Jody, Jason, Bradley, Cecil; several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Edwin Martin and Mary Thelma (Wilkey) Martin; three brothers, Jimmy Martin, Billy Martin, Phillip Martin; one niece, Robin Martin.
Funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Hughes Funeral Home in Paducah with Eric Barron officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
