He was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church, a 1959 graduate of Mayfield High School, a former Vice President of Liberty Bank, a retired employee of US Bank and a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Lemond is survived by his wife of 65 years, Sidney Carol Thomas Lemond; two daughters, Tammy (James) Parker of Benton, KY and Jana (Randy) Baldwin of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Mark Workman of Paducah, KY; six grandchildren, Steven Parker, Jennifer Love, Spencer Baldwin, Tyler Baldwin, Kyle McClain and Brittany McClain; and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lisa Carol Lemond; three sisters, Nancy Roberts, Patsy Davis and Charlotte Lemond; his father, Lynton Lemond; and his mother, Sarah Stokes Workman.
Funeral services for Mr. William “Bill” Spencer Lemond will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Jr. and Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 26. Interment will follow at Trace Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Steven Parker, Spencer Baldwin, Tyler Baldwin, Alex Cain, Randy Baldwin, James Parker and Kenny Love. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Hopkins and Mel Doughty.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
