Calvert City Police Department Arrest Report

Calvert City, KY (November 25, 2024) – On November 02, 2024 officers were dispatched to a suspicious person call near 871 Cedar Street.  The caller found a subject passed out in the roadway.  Upon officer arrival, the subject was being helped to walk.  He appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, was unsteady on his feet, could not walk on his own, and had blood running down his face.  The subject admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages and advised that he was on an unknown person’s golf cart and fell off.  EMS attempted to clean the blood from the subject who refused transport.  Kevin James Eaves, 47, of Calvert City was cited to court for alcohol intoxication in a public place.
On November 05, 2024 an officer made contact with a subject that was known to have an active criminal summons from a theft investigation that he began on August 01, 2024 at a residence on Apricot Avenue.  Kandi Mullins, 39, of Mayfield was served a Marshall County Criminal Summons for theft by unlawful taking.
On November 06, 2024 officers were made aware of a subject with an active warrant from another county.  Eddie W. Taber, 27, of Calvert City was arrested on a Hickman County Warrant for custodial interference.
On November 14, 2024 an officer observed a subject slumped over the wheel of a car while sitting at a gas pump at Speedway.  Officer woke the subject up who stated that they were just sleepy from driving for some time.  The officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.  When the subject exited the vehicle, the odor got stronger.  After further investigation, Matthew Copenhaven Amos, 34, of Clarkston, GA was cited to court for possession of marijuana.  CCPD was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office.
On November 16, 2024 an officer responded to a theft call at Waffle House.  A subject could be observed on video taking a Jack Skellington Christmas inflatable decoration.  The officer was able to identify the subject in the video and speak with him on November 18, 2024.  He admitted to taking the decoration and returned it to the officer.  Jacob W. Burpo, 42, of Calvert City was cited to court for theft by unlawful taking and returned the decoration to the officer.  He was also placed on the trespass log for Waffle House.  The officer returned the decoration to Waffle House.
On November 19, 2024 an officer observed a semi parked on the I-24 exit 27 on ramp directly in front of a no parking sign.  The officer made contact with the driver who refused to cooperate or give the officer any of the requested information.  Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene to assist.  The driver still refused to cooperate.  Kenerson Pierre, 25, Brentwood, NY was arrested and charged with obstructing governmental operations, resisting arrest, and improper parking violations.
On November 24, 2024 an officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked by the pickle ball court bathrooms.  The officer made contact with a subject that was sleeping in his van.  The officer detected the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the van and observed a one-hitter pipe.  The subject stated that it was CBD and gave the officer a Rubbermaid container with a green leafy substance stored in it.  The green leafy substance field tested positive for marijuana/THC.  Shane Alan Force, 55, of Calvert City was cited to court for possession of marijuana and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
