Marshall County anglers top the leaderboards in recent tournaments

Marshall County’s fishing team has placed 10 teams in the top 10 in their last two tournaments. On October 26 out of Kenlake Marina, the team took six top 10 spots out of 23 teams and on Saturday at Kentucky Dam Mariaa, four teams earned a spot in the top ten in a field of 25 teams.

In Saturday’s SAF West Ky. High School Trail Tournament, the top Marshall County finish came from anglers Hayden Gray and Maxson Mitchell who placed third with five fish weighing in a 12 lbs. 6 ozs.

Three more Marshall County teams finishing in the top 1o included Clayton Wyatt and Ty Redden in fourth with five fish weighing 10-06. Tucker Travis and Travis Kaufman took sixth with four fish weighing 7-14 and Ian Kidd and Maddox Cope placed 10th with two fish weighing in at 5-04.

On October 26 at Kenlake Marina, Marshall County took the top two spots starting with a first place finish for the team of Drake Fooshee and Carson Lovett with a five fish weight of 14-08. Second place went to Maxson Mitchell and Hayden Gray with five fish weighing in at 13-12.

Lawson Morris and Matthew Henderson took fifth place with three fish weighing 9-01. Seventh place went to Clayton Wyatt and Ty Redden with three fish weighing 6-15. Tucker Travis and Travis Kaufman placed eighth with two fish weighing in at 6-11. Deacon Smith and Landon Copeland finished ninth and weighed three fish at 6-09.
