Vehicle Verses Pedestrian Sends 1 to a Local Hospital.

On 10/19/24, at approximately 1835 hours, Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area of Lone Oak Road and Gilhaven Drive in reference to a reported collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Through investigation, it was determined that Magic Priddy of Lone Oak was departing Huck’s Gas Station, walking back to his residence, crossing over Lone Oak Road. Priddy was standing in the center lane waiting for traffic to pass. Michael Ratliff, also of Lone Oak, was traveling southbound on Lone Oak Road and was attempted to turn into Huck’s Gas Station. Ratliff entered into the center-turning lane when he observed Priddy in the roadway. Both parties simultaneously entered into the southbound lane in attempts to avoid the collision. Ratliff struck Priddy as both were entering into the southbound lane.

Priddy was treated on scene by Mercy EMS and was transported from the scene to a local hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

The Sherriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Mercy Regional EMS and Lone Oak Fire Department.
