Brenda J. Walton, age 77, of Benton, KY, died Sunday, October 13, 2024, at her residence. She was a member of the Draffenville’s Lions Club, a homemaker and a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Johnny Downs and the late Eva (Swartz) Downs.
She is survived by one daughter: Nancy Chilton of Benton, KY; one son: John Wesley Earle of Benton, KY; three sisters: Shirley Robinson Branch of Fulton, KY, Eva Elaine Hawes of Paducah, KY, and Kathy Marie Brasher of Union City, TN; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Timothy Walton; her first husband: Gerald Earle; one son: Gerald Bentley Earle Jr.; one daughter: Mamie Michelle Artis; and four brothers: Johnny Lee Downs, Herman Eugene Downs, Roger Dean Downs, and Timothy John Downs.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Rev. James Oates officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Benton, KY.
