Mountain Bike Team second after Race #2 in Lexington

Race #2 of the 2024 Kentucky Interscholastic Cycling League is in the books and the Marshall County Mountain Bike Team is holding onto second place after the first two of a five race series.

The second race of the KICL season was held at Veterans Park in Lexington on Sunday, Sept. 15.

Five Marshall County riders are sitting in the top three overall in the series after the first two races. Brady Atkins is in second place in Varsity boys and Emma Roberts is second in JV girls. Emily Downs is second in 10th Grade girls, Nathan Downs is third among 9th Grade boys and Amelia Miller is in third place in 9th Grade girls.

The Hardin-Elizabethtown Composite team is currently in first place. McCracken County sits in fifth place and Livingston County Composite is in 10th among the 18 teams from across the state.

Race #3 takes place on September 29 at England Idlewild Park in Burlington, Ky.
