The 2024 season for the 23-time Region 1 Champion Lady Marshals soccer team kicked off on Monday at Colburn Field and they picked up a 2-0 win over Madisonville-North Hopkins.
After a scoreless first half, the Lady Marshals got on the board less than four minutes into the second half on a goal by junior Chaney Green and the second goal came from junior Addi Wall with eight and half minutes remaining. Junior goalkeeper, Savannah Dodd, earned her first career shutout.
The Lady Marshals will play a varsity district double-header on Thursday at home against Mayfield. The boys will take the field first at 5:30 followed by the girl’s game.
