Calvert City Pickleball players compete in Lakers Paddle Battle

Landon Carter and Blaire Bushart won Gold in 3.0 Mixed Doubles (left) and Rick Grogan and Joe Venice won Gold in Men’s 3.0 Doubles at the Lakers Paddle Battle.

Calvert City Pickleball players went to Murray, Ky. to participate in the Lakers Paddle Battle at Calloway County High School. Seventy players competed in Men’s and Women’s Doubles 3.0-3.5 Divisions and Mixed Doubles 3.0.

Gold Medal Winners:
Peter David John and Jack Smith – 3.5 Men’s Doubles
Joe Venice and Rick Grogan – 3.0 Men’s Doubles
Meagan York and Blaire Bushart – 3.0 Women’s Doubles
Blaire Bushart and Landon Carter – 3.0 Mixed Doubles

Silver Medal Winners:
David McGary and Joseph Vaughn – 3.5 Men’s Doubles
Robyn Threatt and Jen Hudgins – 3.0 Women’s Doubles
Jessica Torsak and Joe Venice – 3.0 Mixed Doubles

Bronze Medal Winners:
Blake Boswell and Mike Omar – 3.5 Men’s Doubles
Bonnie Ottway and Jaclyn Tompkins – 3.0 Women’s Doubles
