Lady Marshals remain unbeaten in 4th District games

Marshall County and Christian Fellowship girls played the second of their two regular season district games on Tuesday at CFS. The Lady Marshals won 74-25 to improve their district record to 4-0 and overall record to 13-5.

The Lady Marshals took a 12-1 leading following a 12-0 run to open the game. The run ended on a three pointer by Christian Fellowship’s Gracie Howard. Skylar Waller scored 12 of the Lady Marshals next 16 points. Three baskets from beyond the arc and another three points at the free throw line after she was fouled in the process of shooting a three.

A 32-4 lead for the Lady Marshals grew to 43-13 at halftime.

Six different players put up points in the third quarter for the Lady Marshals who outscored CFS 20-9 to take a 41-point lead into the fourth quarter on their way to the 74-25 victory.

Up next, the Lady Marshals will play Paducah Tilghman on Friday. CFS will begin play in the KCAC Tournament on Friday against Heritage Christian.
