The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 24 year old man and
his grandmother on Wednesday January 10, 2024.
During the investigation that led to the arrests, detectives learned
that 24-year-old James Robinson had provided a family member with
marijuana. After consuming the marijuana with the juvenile relative,
Robinson initiated sexual contact with the relative. After detectives
learned of these allegations, they also discovered that the
grandmother, who was a caretaker for the juvenile victim, knew about
the incident. Oretha Jeanette Snow, the grandmother and caretaker,
failed to report the child abuse.
James Robinson, of Paducah, KY, was arrested and lodged in the
McCracken County Jail. He was charged with Incest – Person Less than
18, Rape 1st Degree, and Unlawful Transaction with a Minor 2nd Degree.
Robinson has a lengthy criminal history and was on parole at the time
of his arrest.
Oretha Snow, 78 years old of Kevil, KY, was arrested and lodged in
the McCracken County Jail. She was charged with Failure to Report
Child Abuse 1st Offense.
