Ms. Myrtle R. Kerner, age 94, of Mayfield, formerly of Hopkinsville, KY and Heidelberg, Germany, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, a longtime member of Eastern Star in Hopkinsville, KY and a retired employee of the Department of the Army.
Ms. Kerner is survived by one daughter, Pam (Dave) Wright of Mayfield, KY; one brother, Larry (Sheila) Radford of Hopkinsville, KY; two grandchildren, Ginny (Stephen) Smith of Mayfield, KY and Matthew Wayne Duke (Camille) Wright of Waipahu, HI; and four great grandchildren, Wayne Prentice, Arabella Smith, Nora Wright and Dahlia Wright.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Lee Radford and her parents, Jesse Lee and Ida Pearl Wall Radford.
Funeral services for Ms. Myrtle R. Kerner will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Dr. Wes Fowler and Mason Shelton will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
