It is with heavy heart to announce that Tammy J. McVey, age 63, of LaCenter, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on December 16, 2023 due to a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Tammy was born on December 13, 1960 in Wichita, Kansas to the late Martha S. Cooper and Freddie J. Allen
Tammy was a retail assistant at the Paducah Sun for 32 years. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and Nana. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them.
She is the cherished wife of Edward McVey of LaCenter, Kentucky; The loving and devoted mother of, Melissa DeRose(David) of Paducah, Kentucky and Donna Hall of Paducah, Kentucky; The adored Nana of Joseph Ray, Brandon Ray, Dominic DeRose, Chelsea Clark, Kyra Smith, Melissa Smith, and Micheal King Jr.; six great-grandchildren, all of Paducah, Kentucky; The beloved sister, of Bobby Allen of Lady Lake, Florida, Janet Johnson of Benton, Kentucky and Carla Hoskins of Ledbetter, Kentucky.
Tammy is preceded in death by her parents.
