
Frank Harris, age 77, of Paducah passed away at 3:46 p.m. Saturday, December 16, at his home. Frank was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. Frank was a 1964 graduate of Lone Oak High School, where he was an outstanding basketball player. He attended Middle Tennessee State University on a basketball scholarship, graduating in 1968. He was the retired owner of Harris Oliver Insurance Agency in Paducah. Frank was a big fan of SEC Sports, especially Georgia Football and Kentucky Basketball and enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinal Baseball. Frank’s hobbies included his yard, with the mowing and keeping leaves picked up, plus finding a lot of time to go fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Kay Thompson Harris; five sons, Michael (Tami) Harris, Athens, GA, Shane (Angie) Harris, Paducah, KY, Jack Barton Brown, Louisville, KY; Jason Parrish Brown, Louisville and Mark Harris, Tampa, FL; two sisters, Linda (Ray) Moore, Murray, KY and Vonda (Gary) Midyett, Lone Oak, KY; four grandchildren, Travis (Lindsey) Mulkey, Troy Harris, Reed Harris and Izzy Harris; one great-grandchild, Wyatt Mulkey; one aunt, Theda Walls, Lebanon, TN and one uncle, Ralph Strong, St. Louis, MO; several nieces, nephews and several cousins.
Preceding in death was his parents, William Harris and Janet Kay Strong Harris.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr with Rev. Jason Browning and Bobby Strong officiating. Burial will follow at the Liberty Cemetery in Folsomdale KY. Visitation will be held Wednesday December 20, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
