Carroll David “Dave” Krech, age 93, passed away at his residence on November 15, 2023.
Dave was born in White Hall, Illinois on May 16, 1930, to the late Alvena Griffin Snider.
Dave was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Wickliffe, where he was a Sunday School teacher for thirty years. He attended Calvary Christian Fellowship in Wickliffe teaching Sunday School. He enjoyed playing dominos and loved family gatherings. Dave loved his kids and grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow up. He enjoyed watching the Cats play basketball, and the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. He coached little league softball, baseball, basketball, and football when he was younger. Dave was an encourager and wanted everyone to believe in the Lord. He loved the Lord and was a great servant. His favorite bible verse was Proverbs 3:5; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and he will make your paths right. Dave was a great father and will be missed so much.
He is survived by his two daughters, Patty Cochran and Carol Ann (Mike) Hargrove, both of Wickliffe, Kentucky; three sons, David Krech of Blandville, Kentucky, Brian (Sue) Krech of Wickliffe, Kentucky, and Mike (Vicki) Cochran of Wickliffe, Kentucky; sister, Barbara (Charlie) Marbut of Greenville, Illinois; brother, Gary Snider of Spain; nine grandchildren, Steve Cochran, Jason (Laura) Cochran, Kelli (Darren) Morgan, Ashley (Matt) Haney, Cody (Chelsea) Krech, Branden (Hannah) Hill, Larry Keith (Tara) Hill, Jared Hargrove, and Zachary Krech; twenty-five great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Don Britt.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Ethelene Rollins Krech; brother, Ronnie Snider; two sisters, Betty Jean Snider and Sandy Britt; three grandchildren, Tyler D. Morgan, Michael A. Cochran, and Bethani Morgan; his son-in-law, Larry Hill; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe, with Bro. Joe Vance, Bro. Nathan Vance, and Bro. Butch Latta officiating. Burial will follow at Wickliffe City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Wickliffe.
