Mountain Bike team collects eight podiums in Elizabethtown

Owen Lepisto took the third spot on the podium in the JV race in Elizabethtown.

Race #3 for the Marshall County Mountain Bike Team took place on September 24 at the Buffalo Lake Trails in Elizabethtown. Marshall County placed second behind Northern Kentucky Roots and hold second place in the overall series standings. Local teams McCracken County finished sixth and Livingston County placed 12th in the third race of the season.

Marshall County placed two riders on top of the podium. Eli Rudd won the JV boys race and Hudson Atkins took first in the boy’s 6th Grade race.

Four second place finishes came from Brady Atkins in Sophomore boys, Emma Roberts in JV girls, Addison Roberts in Sophomore girls and Amelia Miller in 8th Grade girls. Owen Lepisto in JV boys and Claire Austin in Varsity girls rounded out podium spots with two third place finishes.

Race #4 will take place in Austin, Ky. at the Barren River Lake State Park on October 8.
