Mr. Bobby Dea Garner, age 80 of Benton, KY died on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at his home in Benton, KY. He was a mechanic at the Hosiery Mill for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Born Tuesday, November 10, 1942 in Pike County, IL, he was the son of the late Walter Garner and the late Isabella (Vanhyning) Garner.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Lavada (Miller) Garner of Benton, KY, son, Dwane Garner of Benton, KY, daughter, Shelia Eades, husband Billy of Murray, KY, grandchild, Whitney Gibson, and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Union Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Jack Kee officiating.
Interment will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West 5th Street, Benton, KY 42025.
