Lady Marshals shutout Graves County 5-0

The Lady Marshals took one more step toward securing the district tournament’s top seed with Thursday’s 5-0 win over Graves County. It was their ninth straight win over the Lady Eagles, the streak beginning in the 2021 season. With the win, they improve to 11-2-2 and 5-1 in district games.

They currently sit just outside of the top 10 teams in the state in 12th according KHSAA RPI data.

The Lady Marshals held a 1-0 lead at halftime with the solo goal coming from Zoe Maxlow off an assist from Macy Scott.

Six minutes into the second half, Presley Gallimore added the second goal with the assist going to Koral Whybark and three minutes later it was a 3-0 game on a Macy Scott header.

Chaney Green scored the fourth goal on an assist from Amelia Boone. The final goal of the night came from Maxlow with her second on the assist from Gallimore.

The Lady Marshals will celebrate Senior Night between games on Tuesday when they host Mayfield in the second game of the night at 7:00.
