Master Gardener Barbara Ray joined us on WCBL’s Coffee Call program. She says no matter what your age, gardening can be a fun and rewarding experience. And despite this being almost the middle of September, Ray says you still have time to plant some second crops, including kale, lettuce and spinach. And when it comes to fertilizing, she reminds you one of the smartest things you can do for successful gardening is to get a soil test, available for a small fee at the Marshall County Extension Office. Ray says lots of other free information is available from the extension office.
