Lady Marshals are riding a four-match win streak

Ayla Holt back to serve for the Lady Marshals in last week’s win over Christian Fellowship.

After an 0-3 start to the 2023 season, the Lady Marshals volleyball team has won the last four straight to improve their record to 4-3. It all started with a 3-1 win over Ballard Memorial followed up by a 3-0 win over Christian Fellowship.

Last Thursday they beat Carlisle County 3-0 then on Tuesday to make it three in a row then picked up their second district win over Murray 3-1 to improve to 2-0 in the 4th District.

In the 3-0 win over Carlisle County, the Lady Marshals win came by scores of 25-18, 25-19 and 25-19. Sarah Bremmerkamp led in kills with 20 and Abby Belcher had eight kills. Ayla Holt led in assists with 28. Leading in aces, Maleah Terry had 29, Holt with 16 and Hadley Barret had 12 among nine different players with aces.

In Tuesday’s 3-1 win over Murray, the Lady Marshals won the first two sets 25-16 and 25-16. They lost the third set 17-25 before pulling out the match win in the final set 25-18. Bremmerkamp led with 31 kills, Holt had 40 assists and Terry led in digs with 20.

Thursday, the Lady Marshals head to Ballard County to play a rematch with the Lady Bombers (6-5).
