Russell McLeod, 67, of Grand Rivers, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023 with his loving wife by his side.
Russell was born to the late George and Ruby Mitchum McLeod in Hayti, Missouri on July 29, 1956. Russell had a phenomenal work ethic and did not like wasting daylight or staying inside for very long. He could always find some kind of work that needed done. Before his retirement, Russell worked in waste management and previously worked at Clayton Homes. He never met a stranger and made friends everywhere he went. He was known as a selfless man and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need.
Russell is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patricia McLeod Hatcher of Grand Rivers; one daughter, Katrina Dismore of Gilbertsville; one son, Billy Dismore of Grand Rivers; four sisters, Bethel Henson, Betty Faye Chastain, Wilma Taylor, and Tammy McLeod; three brothers, Louis “Buddy” McLeod, Phillip McLeod, Terry McLeod; and two grandchildren, Rustin McLeod Odom (Kaylee) and Dallas Mcdonald (Mark).
He was preceded in death by six sisters, Jackie McLeod, Barbara McLeod, Jean Estes, Linda McLeod, Georgia Miller and Mary Lou Thompson; five brothers, Claude Earl McLeod, Bob McLeod, Johnny McLeod, Joseph McLeod, George Paul McLeod; and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, September 1st, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 1st, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Gene Gilliand officiating.
