
Lou Jones, 91 passed away peacefully Tuesday August 29, 2023 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 7, 1931. From Paint Lick, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Thurston and Maggie Robinson.
Lou was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Hospital Nursing School in Lexington, Kentucky. She worked for MGM as an RN during local filming of How the West was Won. She was a part-time RN for TVA. The nursing job she was most proud of was to serve as a nurse in the United States Army Reserve 807th MASH unit.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Albert Jones. She was also preceded in death by eight of nine siblings; Ora Mae, Virginia(Sissy), Margie, Farris, Douglas, Bob, Larry, and Dale.
She is survived by three children Vanessa, Stephanie, and Tim (longtime caregiver daughter-in-law Laura); one sister, Faye English; six grandchildren, Adam, Erin, Evan, Lindsey, Matthew, and Warren.
