Marshals finish second, Stokes medalist at Muhlenberg Invitational

The Marshals took second on Wednesday at the Muhlenberg Invitational play at the Central City Country Club. They shot 303 as a team, led by Ryan Stokes who won individual honors after eagling the first playoff hole and finishing with 1-under par 69. Madisonville-North Hopkins won by five strokes over the Marshals with 298 and McCracken County was third with 306.

Following Stokes, DJ Morris shot 72, Nolan Hurst finished with 78, Paxton Carter carded an 83 and Andy Jones shot 87.

On Monday, the Marshals played in the Spartan Clash at Park Mammoth Golf Club in Park City, Ky. With a team score of 301, the Marshals finished fourth. Bowling Green shot 285 to win the tournament.

DJ Morris shot 1-under 69 to finish second behind Greenwood’s Jacob Lang and Barren County’s Jamson Corbin who both shot 67. Lang took the tournament title in a playoff. Ryan Stokes shot 71, Nolan Hurst 78, Paxton Carter 83 and Andy Jones 87.
