Lady Marshals turn in top results in recent tournaments

At Weissinger Hills Golf Course on Thursday, the Lady Marshals shot 322 to finish third in the Shelby County Lady Rocket Invitational, 16 strokes behind first place Sacred Heart with a team score of 306. Madison Central finished second with a score of 310.

Katie Roberts finished in a three-way tie for first with a 2-under par 70 but lost in a playoff to Morgan Kennedy of Boyle County. C.A. Carter from Lexington Christian Academy was also in the playoff.

Skylar Waller shot 78 to finish tied for 11th place, Brooklyn Cunningham’s round of 80 was good for an 18th place tie and Keli Roberts rounded out the team score with a 94 and tied for 45th.

On Friday, the team followed that up with a second place finish in the Lady Bruin Invitational at Elizabethtown Country Club with a score of 318, three strokes back of first place Sacred Heart.

Brooklyn Cunningham shot the low round for the Lady Marshals with 77 to finish tied for fifth. Katie Roberts finished tied for sixth with 78, Skylar Waller shot 81 and finished tied at 12th, Cecelia Ray shot 82 tied for 15th and Kelli Roberts tied for 40th with 96.
