Clarence “Pod” Griggs, 70, of Paducah died Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital. Clarence was born the son of the late Berry and Betty Griggs. He was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of New Life Apostolic Tabernacle. He was also a member of Drake Creek Golf Club and loved fishing, camping, and antiques. Pod loved his grandkids and teaching them all the things he knew.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 26, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home with Terry Lewis officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife Sheila Griggs of Paducah; two daughters, Tonya Lewis (Terry) of Paducah and Tracy Graves of Metropolis, IL; one honorary daughter, Carolyn Jackson (Bruce) of Paducah; two brothers, Randal Griggs (Teresa) of Paducah and Roger Griggs of Paducah; two sisters, Berryetta Rudesill (Larry) of Paducah and Jeanie Mayhugh (Kevin) of Paducah; six grandchildren; and three honorary grandchildren.
