On March 26th, 2023, at approximately 2008 hours Deputies arrived on scene at the intersection of US 62 and US 60 Crossover at the intersection of the Ledbetter Bridge Entrance for a two-vehicle collision with injuries.
Investigation revealed Brittany Cooper, 33, was operating a 2016 Kia Soul Westbound on US 62 going through the intersection. As Cooper was going through the intersection, a 2007 Blue Dodge Grand Caravan entered the intersection. Cooper was unable to avoid the collision. The Blue Dodge Grand Caravan was operated by Kayla Jones, 30, who was Northbound on US 60 at the Ledbetter Bridge intersection.
Cooper, Jones and a Male Juvenile were treated by Mercy Regional EMS and transported to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
McCracken County Deputies on scene were assisted by multiple other motorists, Reidland Fire Department and Mercy Regional EMS.
