Christian Fellowship improves to 14-7, play in KCAC Tournament on Saturday

Christian Fellowship improved to 14-7 after Thursday’s 60-17 win over Community Christian. The Lady Eagles will now turn their focus on winning Saturday’s KCAC Tournament after finishing runner-up last season, falling to Whitefield Academy 74-62 in the championship game.

Led by Lillian Burnett’s 16 points, 10 Lady Eagles scored in the win over CCA. They jumped out to a 27-4 lead at the end of the first quarter behind 12 points from Burnett. CFS led 42-5 at halftime after holding the Lady Warriors to one second quarter point on their way to the 43-point win.

Among KHSAA stat leaders, Gracie Howard currently ranks 23rd among the state’s top scorers, averaging 19.8 points per game with a total of 416. Burnett ranks ninth among rebounding leaders with 241 for an average of 11.5 per game.
