Ethan Landis signs to play baseball at Rend Lake College

Ethan Landis made it official on Tuesday when he signed to play baseball for Rend Lake College. He was joined by his parents Leah and David and brother Jacob.

Marshall County baseball player, Ethan Landis, signed on Tuesday to continue playing baseball at the next level at Rend Lake College in Ina, Illinois. A staple for the Marshals the last two years in the infield, Ethan has hit at the top of the order and is a strong leader on and off the field.

As a junior, Ethan led the team in RBIs (19), hits (32) and stolen bases (15) while also ranked second in walks (20) and third on the team in batting average. His work ethic, athleticism and ability to lead his teammates will make him a valuable asset on any roster and exceed at the next level. Ethan is an incredible student-athlete and teammate and has earned the opportunity to play at the highest level.

“Rend Lake holds a special place in my heart and I couldn’t be prouder to send a player like Ethan to help continue to build such a great program”, said Marshals Head Coach Tyler O’Daniel. “The GRAC is one of the strongest JUCO conferences in the country and I feel that Ethan will be a big player for the Warriors.”

Joining Ethan at Tuesday’s signing were members of his family, coaches, the baseball team and friends.
