The monthly meetings for MC Homemakers resumed in September and the Sharpe girls have hit the ground running! In addition to some of their regular projects involving donations to Needline, Bags of Love, and making cards for our military, they have also continued their Community Outreach Projects which they began last spring.

In August, the club took snacks for the faculty and staff at South Marshall Middle School in appreciation for all they do for their students.  The club previously took snacks to all six elementary schools back in May, and plan to surprise North Middle and the MCHS in the months ahead.

The October 13th meeting was full of fun!  Nine members were present as well as three guests, one of which joined the club that day.  All members received a pink pen in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, and everyone shared their favorite memory of Halloween. The meeting ended with a game and cake to celebrate Homemaker’s week!

Anyone is welcome to attend the meetings.  The Sharpe group meets the second Thursday of the month, 10:00 AM, at the MC Extension Office. For more information on becoming a Homemaker, you may contact the Extension Office at 270-527-3285 or the Sharpe Club President, Doll Blakney, at 270-205-4910.
