Animal Cruelty Abuse Investigation

On 10/21/2022 at 1219 hours, Deputy Jackson was notified of numerous dogs at 6492 KY-1124 near Farmington that appeared to be neglected.

Upon arrival, numerous dogs were found who appeared to be malnourished with no food or water to be found. The residence was in a condition not a safe or healthy for the dogs. Many of the dogs needed emergency medical treatment for their condition and some were chained up and appeared to have not been fed for some time.

Animal control was notified of the situation and responded to take control and possession of the dogs. The owners of the dogs were identified as Charles Rodgers and Jennifer Vaughn.

Both Rodgers and Vaughn stated they had approximately 38 dogs and that none of which were up to date on Vaccinations. Vaughn and Rodgers were arrested and both charged with 38 counts of Cruelty to animals 2nd Degree.
