Since winning the Marshall County Invitational on July 26th, the Marshals have played five tournaments – winning three and taking third in two, starting with a win the following day on July 27 at Madisonville Country Club. The Marshals shot 292, led by Trey Wall’s 2-under par 69 which was good for a second place individual finish.
Ryan Stokes shot 73, D.J. Morris 74, Logan Davis 76 and Gunner Hoover 87 to round out the team scores for the Marshals in Madisonville.
The Marshals placed third in the Cardinal Championship at Winchester Country Club on July 28 with a team score of 299. Wall led the way with a 2-under 70, Morris shot 73, Hoover and Stokes carded 78’s and Davis shot 81.
They placed third at Rolling Hills Golf Course in Russellville on July 29 in the Spartan Clash with a team score of 300. Wall led the way with 71 to finish third, Stokes shot 73, Hoover and Morris shot a pair of 78’s and Davis carded a 79.
In their fourth tournament in four days, the Marshals won the Madisonville North Hopkins Invitational at Lakeshore Country Club with a score of 295. Wall’s 1-under 71 earned the senior a first place finish. Stokes finished with a 1-over 73, Hoover shot 75, Morris 76 and Paxton Carter 80.
The Marshals opened the month of August with a win on Monday at the Greenwood Gator Invitational at Bowling Green Country Club. Their team score of 294 was one stroke better than second place Trinity (295) and two strokes better than Bowling Green in third (296) among the field of 22 teams.
Morris led the Marshals with a 2-under 70 to finish in a tie for second place. Wall shot 73 to finish tied for ninth, Davis shot 75 and finished tied for 15th, Stokes was a shot back with 76 in a tie for 19th and Hoover shot 84.
