He was the son of the late Wilson Grimes and Norma (Puckett) Grimes.
He is survived by his wife Paula G. (Galloway) Grimes of Puryear; his daughter Scarlett Kelly of Independence, MO, (husband); and brother, Ted VanDyke of Murray, KY. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren: Amber Hopkins, Autumn Hailey, Jade Kelly, and Ashton Kelly; and 5 great-grandchildren: Briella Hopkins, Susie Hailey, Bent Hailey, Sean Wayne Kelly, and Allison Kelly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Shirly Freeman.
Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, July 30, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home. John Dale will officiate. Burial will follow in the Green Plains Cemetery, Murray, KY.
