Traffic Stop Leads to drug arrest

On July 22nd, 2022, at approximately 1:00pm, a Deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on McGuire Ave. in Paducah, Ky. The vehicle was a 1995 Chevrolet passenger car driven by 53-year-old Dennis B. Park of Paducah, KY.
During the traffic stop, Deputy Latta deployed his partner “K-9 Bobi”, to which he then alerted to the odor of illegal drugs coming from inside of the vehicle.
During the investigation, it was discovered that Park was in possession of a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, a quantity of Clonazepam, and other items related to Drug Paraphernalia. Park also has a suspended operator’s license and is legally prohibited from operating a vehicle on the roadway.
Park was medically treated on scene and due to medical concerns, Park was transported by Mercy Regional EMS to Lourdes Hospital where he was cited and released.

• Operating on Suspended or Revoked License
• Failure to Produce Insurance Card
• Failure to Maintain Insurance
• Possession of Cont. Sub. 1st Degree (Methamphetamine)
• Possession of Cont. Sub. 3rd Degree (Clonazepam)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Prescription Not in Proper Container 1st Offense
