Jimmy Willard Gills, age 70, of Lynnville, KY passed away Thursday June 23, 2022 at his residence.
Jimmy was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and an Army Veteran. He was a retired tobacco farmer and truck driver.
Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Tanisha Gills (Trey) Norman of Lynnville, KY; two sisters, Mary Ann (Jim) Paul and Fredia (Dan) Cunningham both of Mayfield, KY; two grandchildren, Trelynn and Tye Norman; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by; one brother, Jessie “Jack” Gills; two sisters, Peggy Gills Adams and Patricia Gills; parents were Jeff and Lurdean Barber Gills.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00AM Wednesday June 29, 2022 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the McGuire Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #26. Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Tuesday June 28, 2022 at the Byrn Funeral Home.
