Marshall County track and field athletes are Region 1 Champions in 10 events and six others finished runner-up, giving the program 16 automatic qualifiers for the Class 3A State Track and Field Championships on Saturday, June 4 at the UK Track and Field Complex.
The Marshals are the Region 1 Champions with 130.20 points over second place Owensboro with 106. The Lady Marshals are Region 1 runner-up, taking second place with 88 points behind first place Henderson County with 122.
More from Marshall County may qualify for the state meet after the top two automatic spots. The next 10 best times/marks in each event from across the seven regions will be added to the start lists.
