Motorists in Murray Advised to Be Aware of Heavy Traffic for Funeral of Calloway County Chief Deputy Jody Cash on Saturday, May 21

Funeral procession expected to leave CFSB Center between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.

MURRAY, Ky. (May 20, 2022)   Motorists traveling in the Murray area should be aware of heavy traffic near the CFSB Center on Saturday for the funeral of Calloway County Chief Deputy Jody Cash.

Officers from law enforcement agencies across the nation will be attending the funeral, creating heavy traffic near the CFSB Center during the day Saturday.  The funeral is scheduled for 1 p.m., CDT.

Between approximately 2 p.m. and 3 p.m., the funeral procession is expected to leave the CFSB Center entrance on KY 121 to turn south onto U.S. 641/North 12th Street.  The procession will then turn east on U.S. 641-Business/Chestnut Street to travel to the Murray Cemetery entrance.

The funeral procession is expected to be lengthy.  Streets along the route could be blocked for an hour or more.

Members of the public who would like to pay their respects to this fallen officer may gather along the route.
