Christian Fellowship’s Eagles have lost the last six straight games and are looking for win number 10 before the regular season closes out this week. Following a loss to Marshall County on Thursday, CFS lost two close games by seven points each to CCA, 66-59 on Friday and 81-74 to Livingston Central on Saturday.
Monday’s scheduled game against Heritage Christian has been cancelled due to COVID protocols. The Eagles will wrap up the regular season with three games this week starting Tuesday at Hickman County, Thursday at St. Mary and at home on Friday against Livingston Central.
It was an eighth grader and senior who led the Eagles against CCA. Elijah Grigg and Isaac Hovekamp both finished with 18 points. Grigg, the eighth grader, scored all 18 points from 3-point range.
CFS led by three points at the end of the first quarter and three at halftime. CCA took a one-point lead at the end of the third and out-scored CFS by six points in the third quarter for the seven-point win.

Against Livingston Central, Luke Grigg led in scoring with 17 points, Elijah Grigg had 16 and Isaac Hovekamp 14. Andrew Dunning had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Livingston Central senior, Max Downey, scored half of the Cardinals points, finishing with 40. Downey hit three 3-pointers and went to the line 18 times and converted 15.
The game was tied up at 30 points each at halftime. Livingston pulled away by eight in the third which proved to be the difference in the game with the Eagles able to get one point back in the fourth quarter.
